What a fantastic start the children have made in Nursery Class!  It has been amazing to see just how quickly they have settled in and adjusted to their new routine.  The main focus for September was to settle into the classroom, learn the class rules and expectations and just give the children time to become comfortable in their new classroom.

Our first topic is ‘All About Me’ and the children had a great time drawing their very first self portraits, looking at their reflections and discussing similarities and differences they have with one another.  They also got stuck into making a height chart and drawing pictures of their favourite things which are proudly displayed in the classroom on the carpet area, check them out – they’re brilliant!

As well as this, the children have loved starting their Spanish lessons with Jen and are already beginning to remember the very basics and have enjoyed having Alison back for our music sessions.

Finally, being in Nursery Class means finally getting to explore in the big playground! The children have had a fab time climbing the tree house, swinging on the monkey bars and riding around on the bikes – it is definitely one of their favourite things about being in Nursery Class now!

A big well done to all of the children who have been amazing over the past few weeks, it has been a brilliant start and we all look forward to a fantastic year with you all.
