This afternoon, four children from Year 6 represented Rosemary Works at the National Young Mathematicians’ Award Competition 2017, run by Explore Learning and Cambridge University.

The main themes were ‘Problem solving’ and ‘Teamwork’. I’m delighted to report that the children were superb ambassadors for our school and competed in great spirit. Our tenacious Rosemary Works team were praised for their logical approach to the complicated pattern problems – drawing diagrams to help explain progress, and communicating ideas brilliantly with each other and with the organisers.
