What a month May has been for Nursery Class!

We have really enjoyed our ‘Growing’ topic and have spent the past few weeks really exploring how plants and flowers grow and change.  We began by planting our very own grass seeds and each became responsible for our own grass.  We watched how it grew with a little bit of water and lots of sun and before we knew it, it became really tall!

We then used our grass to develop our maths skills by measuring just how tall it had become and comparing them with our friends – we are all super clever now and really showed off just how good we are with our counting.

We also got extra messy whilst playing with lots of different beans which really helped with our sensory skills and we even used butter beans in another fun maths activity.

On top of all of this, we had fun printing with root vegetables and showed just how much we are growing ourselves by having the best time on the new play equipment!
