It was a warm, sunny day today as we opened the doors to our annual summer fete and celebrated in style with a pirate and mermaid theme.
With a multitude of lovely activities for children of all ages to enjoy, the fun didn’t stop all afternoon as children enjoyed water fun galore! The football cage was transformed into a water slide, we had a mermaid spa with all manner of pampering and face painting activities and all the faves like hook a duck, tombolas for adults and children and many delicious cakes and sweet treats for sale.
We had a bouncy slide outside and a bouncy castle in the hall for the preschoolers. Parents, EYC and school staff helped to run the stalls and they managed all areas brilliantly.
The barbecue and drinks station offered very welcome refreshments and we had a barista from Costa coffee serving some refreshing drinks.
With the most amazing raffle prizes we’ve ever had and some unbelievable donations from our parents, their friends and local businesses we ended the afternoon with drawing the raffle and celebrating another immensely successful fete.
The biggest thank you to all the many people who helped to make this one of the very best fetes ever:
Vera, Tamara and Kathryn deserve a special mention for organising the fete and they did an amazing job. The EYC staff, including Zuhre, Kelly and Adam for all their hard work, the primary staff for helping run the stalls, the parents on the bar and barbecue – Ross, Jim, Matt, Kim, Jan, Michelle and Mette. Lesley and Tessa for painting some of the attractions and for creating the mermaid spa; Anissa and Semira for helping Vera and Tamara and Kat, plus thanks for all the families for coming and helping to make this such a huge success. Thank you.
