I’d like to thank all the children that got involved and had a go at a new sport or activity in the big playground this week. Hopefully you had a lot of fun, perhaps learned a few skills, and maybe made some new friends along the way.

The sports and games on offer at lunchtimes included: handball, tennis skills, dodgeball, playground games (skipping, chasing and clapping games) and benchball, and these were run so brilliantly by the Year 6 children alongside the usual popular activities of football, four-square and basketball.
It was a VERY sporty playground. Thank you children.
I’m delighted to say that these new activities will not disappear. The Year 6’s have offered to help run them again into the summer term so that there remains plenty of opportunity for all to get more active at playtime and lunchtime on a regular basis.
The Year 6 children also sold the official Sport Relief wristbands all week – raising money for good causes and collecting over £100 in sales of these alone. Thank you to all who bought one.
