We have had a very busy and productive few weeks in Year One with lots of great work, amazing achievements and new, lovely memories. We had a great time on our school trip to see Running Wild at the Hackney Empire and the children were very well behaved. In Literacy we have covered descriptions, learnt about nouns and verbs and have made excellent progress with our sounds and reading. We even spotted an alien spacecraft hovering above school so created an alien and had to describe his home planet! In Maths we looked at digital time and have recently recapped our money work, thinking about finding the difference and paying for items. We also worked really hard to produce our Little Red Riding Hood Assembly. Jackie and I were over the moon with how determined and confident the children were. Well done, Year One! In Science we have been looking at the weather, seasons and plants and during Enrichment time the class have enjoyed a range of sessions led by different teachers, all about Festivals and Celebrations. We have made it to the end of Spring Term and we are so proud of Year One. Have a safe break and we will see you ready to take on Summer Term!
