The highlight of this week was our trip to Broadskate for our ice skating session. What an excellent way to spend a cold Wednesday morning! It was a pleasure to watch all the children have so much fun learning or practising a new skill and show their perseverance, good humour and their kindness towards all of their peers. All of the children helped each other out and it was lovely to see them offering each other, regardless of friendship groups or age, a hand up or words of encouragement. In fact, the Broadskate staff commented on the good behaviour and manners of the Rosemary Works children and said they had been a lovely school.
Of course, the children’s week was still packed full with: swimming, PE, Italian, music, ukulele, meditation and tackling decimal numbers in maths and writing a flashback story during writing time. All that and there was still time to learn a very catchy song about the order of the planets.
