Last week, Year 6 kicked off Class Assembly season with their wonderful work around Ancient Egypt.
On Tuesday this week, it was Year 5’s turn and they were fantastic! The children have been studying World War II and, as well as putting on a show, they also shared their Anderson Shelters and Topic Books with their parents before the show.
Their confidence with delivering their lines and songs, the beautifully powerful poems and letters to home and the authentic costumes all put everyone ‘in the mood’ for a brilliant assembly. From the frightening air raid sirens to the heartwarming war songs to keep the troops’ spirits up, the Year 5 children covered it all and showed us how much they’ve enjoyed learning about World War II.
A huge congratulations to the children, Suzy and Vicky – we all loved it!
