Yesterday we were treated to a summer show special featuring children from Years 3 to 6, and in particular Years 5 and 6. The Year 3 and 4 children were there to support the songs and some even had cameo parts within the play.

Porridge is a story of when a crime wave hits Happy Valley, there’s a caseload of mysteries to be solved. Who’s stolen Mother Hubbard’s recipe book? Who’s kidnapped Marigold the cow? And what secret is Papa Bear hiding behind his Porridge empire? It’s down to Private Detective Jack Spratt to uncover the truth in this tale of mystery, mayhem and breakfast cereal!

The performance was a triumph with many stand-out performances and very brave soloists that sang beautifully and with great confidence. See for yourself below…

The audience found the relentless puns hilarious and, considering the time the children had to put this together, they did an astronomically amazing job. Congratulations to everyone who was involved in this show. We are immensely proud of the children’s performances.

If you didn’t get a chance to come, here’s the video for you to enjoy…
