A day ahead of Red Nose Day, the children in Years 3 to 6 took to the streets of Spitalfields Market to sell jokes to the public and entertain them with silly songs that David had taught them to help raise money for Comic Relief.

It was fortunately a sunny afternoon when we arrived and set up camp ready to inflict our hilarious jokes on passers by for a small fee! The children in Years 5 and 6 took control of the donation buckets and scouted the streets for punters while the Year 3 and 4 children sang and played their silly songs.

It was a wonderful afternoon and all the children did us proud. Not only that, but in just over 30 minutes, they raised a whopping £260 for Comic Relief.

Congratulations to all the children and staff for their hard work and sense of fun and also thank you to the parents who came along to support. Here’s a short video of our afternoon adventures.
