Celebrating World Book Day on the actual day is something we tend not to do at Rosemary Works School, preferring to wait until Friday to get our favourite book character’s costumes on and coming to school ready to share our love of books.
However, today, Year 2 continued Class Assembly season with a sensational show sharing their costumes, books and facts with the school and their families.
They encouraged people to read different genres of books and find the genres they preferred to read. They sang two songs – one played on the ukulele by one of our talented musicians, and the other, taking a popular, familiar song and changing the lyrics to fit World Book Day celebrations.
It was a lovely assembly and we thank Year 2 for all their super hard work and their teachers too!
Here’s the video of their assembly for you to enjoy and share…
