Years 4-6 had a fantastic day at Tower of London on Thursday. Upon arrival we entered through the ‘Traitor’s Gate’ drawbridge and began explored the grounds, enjoying the full experience including the famous ravens, the Beefeaters and, a little later, experiencing the changing of the guard.
We were there to learn more about England’s Royal Tudors, and boy was there a lot to see and do! Highlights included getting up close to many of Henry VIII’s actual pieces of armour, learning about the Tower’s famous prisoners and its LONG history, and getting a chance to try on actual shiny knight’s armour. Phew – good job we were feeling strong!
