It was a fab day for the children in Years 4 – 6 at Rosemary Works who became Tudors for the day. Thanks to all the staff and to the parent volunteers for all their help!

What a brilliant day the children in Years 4 to 6 had today and what a fantastic way to learn about life in Tudor times. As you’ll see in the video below they had a range of different stations to learn how to make candles, embroider, write with a feather pen, etc. and they were all dressed for the occasion – in authentic Tudor garb! We hired the community centre just outside school and it was the perfect venue to recreate life 500 years ago!

Also in the video is the banquet complete with dance, song, a play and some delicious food.

They left school today with a goody bag full of homemade Tudor goods and a head full of Tudor facts.
Thank you to Sue, from History off the Page, the staff who helped out, including the cooks for creating the biscuits and cakes, and to our parent volunteers for giving up their time to get into the Tudor spirit.
