Year 4 had an incredible trip to the British Museum yesterday. We visited the Egyptian and Enlightenment Galleries where we learnt so much about life and death in Ancient Egypt.
We learnt about the mummification process and couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw that the Egyptians also mummified animals too!
The Rosetta Stone was used to help decipher Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics. We enjoyed looking closely at a replica version of the stone. We also got to see the real Rosetta Stone too.
We saw tomb walls, Ancient Egyptian art and even a giant scarab beetle statue!
It was a fantastic day out and we loved taking a trip back in time to see all these amazing and ancient objects.
