On Friday the Year 5 and 6  children visited the V&A museum to consolidate their unit of work on Japan and Japanese art.
On arrival, they headed straight to the Japan gallery where they completed a piece of work which concentrated on the patterns that they noticed in various works of art. They looked at a variety of new and old pieces and were delighted to recognise pieces they had studied in the classroom.

Of course there was time for a lovely sunny lunch in the gardens and then for a look around the rest of the museum – the jewels and the theatre galleries being favourites.
The children were beautifully behaved and enthusiastic about their learning but we have come to expect nothing less from them.
