Last week, we cared for the birds.

The children enjoyed reading Instructions and then got to work to make these fun bird feeders made from apples, pumpkin seeds, sticks and a bit of string! With winter approaching we talked about how the birds could do with some healthy treats like these.

We got the singing bird toys out and the children loved squeezing their tummies to hear their authentic bird call. Bird books helped the children to find out the names for the different ones, which there was lots of interest in. We have a robin, cuckoo, thrush, blue tit, swallow and a blackbird.

All were delighted to take theirs home to hang in your gardens or balconies.
