Years 3 and 4 Protest March

Years 3 and 4 teamed up this week to protest deforestation. We learnt about how animals are losing their homes and that trees are being burnt down to make way for cattle farms and to grow palm oil. The children were passionate about making better choices to save as much of the rainforest as possible. They wrote their own persuasive speeches to try to convince people to think more about how they can help put an end to deforestation too.

We wanted to share their incredible work with the world and so the children went on a deforestation protest march along Regents Canal. They received a lot of support from our local community. They then read out their incredible speeches for everyone to hear.

It was a fantastic experience and the children made us proud. We are sure they have made people really stop and think about this issue.
