Greek Monster Puppets

In order to wind down after a busy week we’ve also been finishing off our Greek monster puppets, using plaster of paris, and sewing skills to be really creative when making our hand puppets. We can’t wait to see the finished product and Year 5 & 6 have really encouraged each other to do our very best. Watch this space!

Friction Investigation

As part of our ‘Forces’ topic Year 5 have been investigating friction by being tasked with designing a new brake pad for a bike. We chose our materials and then experimented on bikes in the playground; timing how long it took for each material to bring the wheel to a stop. We’ve been developing our scientific questioning and the children worked really well as investigative teams.
